About Me

Hello! I’m glad you’re here!

I am 34 years old, a wife & mother of 3. I have always loved the arts & photography has become more than just a hobby for me.

Over the past few years I have worked really hard, learned so much & have enjoyed every opportunity I’ve had to be a photographer; whether it’s a family or individual session or at a beautiful wedding.

I love taking pictures, meeting new people & seeing new places, but my favorite part is getting home from a shoot & feeling so excited to put images up on my big computer screen, & edit them.

There have always been “trends” in photography, just like with anything else, but I really love to just sit down and edit a picture the way it speaks to me. There is definitely an art to doing this & I love doing it.

My images are colorful & usually edited with warm tones & contrast. I love “glowy” pictures where natural sunlight is used to create bright & happy vibes.

I am naturally a more shy person, but every photo session I’ve had, it doesn’t take long to warm up to my clients & we get to know each other quickly as we talk. There hasn’t been one shoot where we weren’t laughing about something. I know that for most, it can be hard to get pictures taken, but I will always try to make you feel comfortable behind the camera.

Some of my hobbies include sports; like softball, which I’ve played since I was 6 years old; basketball, soccer, tennis, golf & I love to wakeboard. I also play the piano & love to draw & paint.

Other things I love:

A good rainstorm, the sound of the wind in the trees, taking long baths, spending time at the bookstore, listening to all kinds of music (but country is my favorite), eating Mexican food, going to the beach or mountains, going for drives & spending quality time with my family.

Mom life keeps me busy everyday. It is the hardest, but most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life. There are moments that have been so frustrating I have sat & cried, moments when I’ve been so exhausted I felt like giving up, but the wonderful things outweigh the others by so much that at times I pinch myself wondering what I did to deserve such wonderful & beautiful kids. They are teaching me so much.

Travel is my passion. If I could, I would hardly be home. I lived in Bolivia & Peru for almost a year and half as I served as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I came to love the people there & because of my experiences, I fell in love with history, learning about other cultures & exploring new places.

So far I have been blessed in my life and have had the opportunity to either live or travel to: Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, Belize, the Cayman Islands, England, France & many parts of the United States.

I attended Weber State University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies.

I have always been somewhat of a perfectionist, (which has it’s pros & cons), but I pride myself in working hard & always having a desire to do the very best I can do…no matter what that is!

I hope you will follow along this journey with me & let me be there to capture some of the most treasured moments in your life!

Love,

Amanda
